Welcome to Care Warriors
Our mission is to provide traditional and functional life, social, emotional, spiritual and vocational skill training to at-risk individuals with intellectual and developmental differences. We educate, train and encourage individuals to maintain a vital role in the community.
Care Warriors Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves young adults with disabilities. As children with disabilities become young adults, they lose many of the benefits that were available to them as children. At this age many are also attempting to live independently. Care Warriors attempts to bridge that gap by providing Independent Living Skills (ILS), pre-employment assistance, vocational training and job placement, along with any other help an individual may need to live independently.
Care Warriors is hosting it's 3rd annual golf scramble.
Join us to support a great cause!
Thank you to everyone interested in our scramble. We have maxed out our teams and the tournament is full!!!
If you would like to sponsor a hole, we do still have holes available.
Care Warriors Inc. continues to provide our community of young adults with Autism with opportunities to socialize and have fun in a safe environment. In the month of September, we will host a Karaoke night. It is open to singers, non-singers and cheering squads. Anyone that wants to have fun is invited.
Tu Casa at Texas A&M University summer camp 2024 was held the week of June 10th . Care Warriors Inc. was on board to add to the excitement by teaching art and social/emotional skills. Much thanks and appreciation to Veronica Kallead, Texas A&M University TU CASA Project Director, for this collaborative opportunity to be among the students. TU CASA's model is designed to allow students with intellectual disabilities to receive a true university experience while gaining the skills and knowledge needed to transition to independent adult lives.
A huge Care Warriors Inc. "Thank You!" to the Sundt Foundation! Their generous grant will provide needed items for many of our older consumers. The Sundt Foundation was created in 1999 to give Sundt employee-owners a way to give back to the communities where they live and work.
A huge thank you to the Red Hat Society - Diva Divinas chapter in San Antonio for their generous donation. "I am so proud that our chapter is known for its community efforts", said Vivian C.
